Camcorder Batteries

Memories caught on video are beyond precious because they suspend a moment in time, where you can go back and experience the sight, sound, and movement of people you love. They allow future movie makers to get their starts at home. You can see fleeting expressions that are difficult to capture with a camera. Always having a battery that is charged and working properly is essential to being able to immortalize Christmas morning, the big hit at the baseball game, or your daughter at her dance recital. It also never hurts to have an extra battery on hand for your camcorder so you can use one while charging the other. Most JVC, Panasonic, Canon, Samsung, Sanyo, Sharp, and Sony camcorders take NiMH rechargeable batteries. NiMH, or Nickel-Metal Hydride, batteries hold more charge than NiCd (Nickel Cadmium) batteries, but also have a high self-discharge rate compared to NiCd and Li-Ion batteries.
